The Survey Behind Every Beautiful Landscape
Landscape design depends on accurate levels and a clear understanding of how the building relates to the land. We provide that information so your designs work in reality, not just on screen.
We go beyond basic level surveys to give you finished floor levels, door and window sill heights, ground floor openings and thresholds, everything you need to understand how building and landscape connect. Where it adds value, we use 3D laser scanning to produce fast, cost-effective site plans with level data extracted directly from the scan.
Typical Vertical Accuracy
Most residential site surveys completed
Outputs for SketchUp, Vectorworks or CAD
Strong coverage in Sussex, Surrey, Kent, London
3D Scanning for Landscape Projects
Where sites are well-maintained and access is straightforward, 3D laser scanning offers a fast, cost-effective alternative to traditional survey methods:
Accurate contoured surveys with spot levels, fall data and existing features. Exportable as DWG, DXF, PDF or XYZ.
Digital terrain models compatible with SketchUp sandbox, Vectorworks topo surfaces and CAD.
For suitable sites, fast and cost-effective site plans produced from 3D laser scan data.
Site models in SketchUp, Revit, ArchiCAD and AutoCAD for visualisation and design.
CASE STUDY
A complex waterside plot at Widewater Lagoon in Lancing, with significant level changes, flood risk zones and a critical relationship to the adjacent lagoon. Accurate level data was essential for Environment Agency compliance.
Full topographical survey using GNSS and robotic total station equipment, capturing levels across the full plot including tidal influence zones. A 3D terrain model was produced in SketchUp format.
Accurate design with no level-related issues during construction. The scheme fully satisfied Environment Agency requirements.
