College Estate Survey Programme — Multi-Building Campus
THE CHALLENGE:
An independent college needed accurate, up-to-date building records across a multi-building campus. Existing drawings were out of date following several extensions and refurbishments, and the estates team needed reliable data for maintenance planning and a proposed development.
OUR SOLUTION:
Archidata conducted a phased survey programme across the estate during college holidays, using handheld LiDAR scanning for rapid internal capture. A consistent, coordinated set of floor plans and elevations was produced for all buildings, with all surveyors Enhanced DBS checked prior to attendance.
THE OUTCOME:
Reliable, accurate data now used for maintenance planning, space management and future development. The estates bursar described it as ‘the first time we’ve had records we can actually trust’.
