Hurstpierpoint College — Running Track Site Survey
THE CHALLENGE:
Hurstpierpoint College required accurate topographical surveys of multiple sports fields to determine which site was best suited for a new running track installation. Level data and ground condition analysis were required across all candidate fields before any design work could begin.
OUR SOLUTION:
Archidata surveyed all candidate fields using GNSS and robotic total station equipment, producing detailed topographical data and comparative level analysis for each. The data was presented in a format the college’s estates team and designers could use directly in their decision-making and planning submission.
THE OUTCOME:
The survey informed the selection of the optimal field for the track installation, ruling out unsuitable sites before any design costs were committed. The project proceeded to planning on the basis of Archidata’s survey data.
